DAY 1 / KOLKATA – FIRST TASTES OF BENGAL
Arrive in Kolkata and settle into our charming heritage hotel. We head to Park Street for classic Bengali flavours in a lively setting, sharing plates and stories at our welcome dinner.
DAY 2 / KALI, TAGORE & BENGALI FLAVOUR
Visit the grand Victoria Memorial and the sacred Kalighat Temple, then explore Tagore’s serene ancestral home. End the day browsing New Market before live music and dinner in the old lanes.
DAY 3 / FLOWERS, FREEDOM & FLOATING TEMPLES
Wander the vibrant Flower Market and meet the clay sculptors of Kumartuli. Cruise the Hooghly River to Belur Math as the city lights glow on the water.
DAY 4 / VARANASI – INTO THE HEART OF DEVOTION
Fly to Varanasi for a relaxed afternoon, then witness the Ganga Aarti – a powerful ritual of flame, music and prayer on the river.
DAY 5 / VARANASI – SUNRISE, LANEWAYS & SACRED SITES
At dawn, glide along the Ganges by boat, then explore Varanasi’s winding lanes. Later, visit Sarnath, where the Buddha gave his first sermon.
DAY 6 / LUCKNOW – NAWABI FLAVOURS & MARKET WANDERINGS
Travel to Lucknow and stroll the Hazrat Ganj market. Enjoy the city’s famed Awadhi cuisine for dinner.
DAY 7 / LUCKNOW – HERITAGE HOMES & HIDDEN HISTORIES
Discover Lucknow’s landmarks, then dine in a private heritage home, surrounded by stories and family recipes.
DAY 8 / LUCKNOW – THREADS, SPICES & SWEET MOMENTS
Explore the old Chowk’s embroidery workshops, spice stalls and sweet shops before a relaxed evening.
DAY 9 / HARIDWAR – TRAINS, TEA & TIME TO SLOW DOWN
Travel by train to Haridwar, arriving at our riverside retreat. Unwind with high tea by the Ganges.
DAY 10 / HARIDWAR – RITUAL, REST & LOCAL FLAVOURS
Start with yoga by the river, then join a Garhwali cooking class. Witness a smaller, intimate Ganga Aarti at Har ki Pauri.
DAY 11 / RISHIKESH – ASHRAMS, MARKETS & RIVERSIDE RITUAL
Visit the Beatles Ashram and Parmarth Niketan, browse Rishikesh’s colourful markets, then return for a vegetarian feast.
DAY 12 / DELHI – RETURN, REST & A FINAL GATHERING
Drive to Delhi and settle into a colonial hotel. Share a farewell dinner in the candlelit courtyard.
DAY 13 / DEPARTURE – UNTIL NEXT TIME…
Enjoy a final breakfast before departing, carrying the spirit of the Ganges with you.

Price is based on twin share accommodation. Please see room options below –
1. Bring a travel buddy and share a room.
2. Pay the Private Room Supplement $2000AUD and have your own room during the tour.
Please note: We don’t offer room matching for solo travellers. If you’d like the twin share price, you’ll need to book with a travel companion.
Bookings accepted only after a non-refundable deposit of $1000AUD is paid and confirmation of payment is issued to the traveller with a copy of the Terms and Conditions of Travel.
The balance of payment must be paid no later than 60 days before departure, failing which Trunk India may treat the booking as cancelled by the traveller.
All cancellations by the traveller must be received in writing and will take effect from the date received by Trunk India, in which event, the following cancellation charges will apply;
Up to 61 days – loss of deposit.
Between 60 and 30 days 50% of entire booking cost.
Between 29 days and departure date – 100% of entire booking cost.
Please ensure that you have travel insurance to cover you against any unforeseen circumstances which may arise after full payment is made.
